Top 5 Wednesday – Authors I Want to Read More of

#5: Noah Hawley Before the Fall

Last year I read, and fell in love with, Hawley’s novel Before The Fall. The mystery was intriguing but what made this book wonderful was the writing. I enjoyed watching all the different story lines weave together. I liked the flashes between past and present and the multiple point of views. This book did a lot of things I love, so I’d definitely love to pick up another of his, particularly The Good Father.

#4: Blake Crouch Dark Matter

Dark Matter was one of my favorite reads of 2016 and is probably now one of my all
time favorites. Months after reading it, I’m still recommending it like crazy and I still think about it all the time. Crouch has a slew of other books to choose from so I will definitely pick another of his up in the future.

#3: Tana French  The Trespasser (Dublin Murder Squad #6)

People love Tana French. I have had tons of people who immediately reccomend her when they hear I’m a mystery/thriller fan. Unfortunately, my one experience with her was not good. I read her 2016 release The Trespasser and it was one of my least favorite books of 2016. The pacing was way too slow and the mystery felt incredibly generic. However, I’ve read the synopsis for quite a few of her other books and I’d like to give her a second chance, probably starting with book one in the Dublin Murder Squad series.

#2: Sarah J. Maas A Court of Thorns and Roses (A Court of Thorns and Roses, #1)

I just read A Court of Thorns and Roses and A Court of Mist and Fury. I need more! I avoided this series for a long time because of the hype, but I’ve got to hand it to miss Maas, they’re fantastic. I’ve pre-ordered A Court of Wings and Ruin which I will be reading next week, and then I will probably start working my way through her Throne of Glass series.

#1: Liane Moriarty The Husband's Secret

This one is cheating. Liane Moriarty is one of my favorite authors. I adore her and I have read quite a few of her books. But there’s still some I haven’t gotten to and I definitely want to. I want to read everything she writes. I’m planning to pick up The Hypnotist’s Love Story in the next month.

I’m sure there are plenty of other authors I need to read more of, especially debut authors who i’m eagerly anticipating their next release. Which authors do you want to read more of? Let me know in the comments below!

xo, Nikki
